Title: Of Heartbreak and Fashion
Pairing: Kurt/Blaine
Spoilers: Goodbye
Note: Goodbye was rushed and we got a scene about chairs. What we didn't get, was a scene about Kurt going to Blaine for comfort. This is just my take on it. And furthermore, mr Ryan Murphy, I've written better Glee on napkins than you do on your computer. Asshole.

For a minute, he just stood there. No words could escape his lips, no emotion could be shown in his eyes. He barely noticed how Rachel flung her arms around Finn beside him, barely noticed how her hair brushed across his face. And then it hit him. He didn't get in. He wasn't going to NYADA. He wasn't going to New York. Without even a glance, he rushed out of the room and down the hall, seeing nothing but strangers, lockers, books, teenagers packing the lockers and books falling to the floor. And Kurt rushed. Rushed passed all of them, rushed with sudden tears falling from his eyes, rushed away from Rachel and her laughter that echoed after him. "Bl-Blaine," Kurt stuttered to himself, pushing the doors open and stepping outside. The air was fresh. Warm. Sun sort of setting, but still light enough to cast rays all around him.
And there he was. Blaine, sitting calmly at the bottom of the stairs, turning around to the sudden commotion Kurt seemed to make on his way down. Their eyes met. And Blaine shook his head. His bottom lip dropped a bit and it looked like he wanted to say something, but he didn't, he just stood up from his seat. In the midst of people, Blaine rushed up towards Kurt while Kurt made his way down, and they didn't have to say anything. Blaine wrapped Kurt up in his arms and rocked him gently back and forth while Kurt sobbed audibly against Blaine's shoulder. "I didn't-I didn't get in!" Kurt sobbed, but Blaine shushed him and let his hand caress Kurt's back slowly. Looking up, Blaine saw Rachel and Finn rush outside, probably following Kurt, but the look on Rachel's face told him that she hadn't been as misfortuned.
"Come on," Blaine said, pulling his boyfriend with him down the last few steps and out towards the parking lot. He hadn't parked far away and they climbed inside, Kurt sobbing heartbreakingly and Blaine just trying to stay calm. And then he drove. The sun was setting completely now, red and pink and orange playing wildly across the sky. Kurt curled up on the seat next to him, his nose pressed against Blaine's shoulder. It was silent. Stilled. Needed. Blaine drove around for a while, letting Kurt calm down there next to him and Kurt leaned over and kissed Blaine's neck. "I love you," he whispered and Blaine smiled softly. They parked outside Kurt's house and walked hand in hand through the front door. Finn was already home and could be heard going on and on about Rachel in the other room, but Kurt met Burt's eyes, Burt's teary eyes, and they embraced each other for a moment. He knew. "Blaine's gonna stay over, if it's okay, dad," Kurt said, but Burt just nodded, "Of course it is, kid. I'll bring you boys some dinner in a while."
And together, they walked upstairs hand in hand, together, they took a moment to remove post-its and unpack the few things Kurt had already packet, and together, they curled up on the bed and just sat there. Blaine whispered that it would be okay, that they would figure out something, that this wasn't the end of anything, and Kurt felt himself smile. He let his eyes look at his boyfriend, sitting there all dreamy and promising next to him, and then his gaze traveled across the room. Jumping from jacket to scarf to shirt to tie, from fabric to fabric to fabric to fabric. And then he looked back at Blaine. And he smiled, oh, how he smiled.
Screw NYADA. He would go into fashion.
