You can watch Style Wars on the internet. There are fairly good streams off peekvid.com. My bf in Belgium has that film more or less memorised (it's how he learnt english). It's great.
John and I watched Solaris last Reading Week when he and I spent the whole week in a darkened room watching long films. It's absolutely incredible. Watch for the Bruegal painting part, which is kind of the most incredible thing. Most of the pages I did in my book for Courtney's journal project are filled with quotes from that one.
Luckily, I had a nice copy of Style Wars in DVD format, but thanks for the tip!
I ALWAYS recall your telling me about you and John watching Solaris over Reading Week, and that was part of the reason that I borrowed it in the first place. :) I'm looking forward to its intensity... I wrote some conversation we shared about it in one of my notebooks, actually. Something about your TV room creeping you out afterwards, maybe because it was so dark in there while you watched?
And thank you!! It's nice to finish but sad. Do you miss Brussels right now? Are you and the fella keeping it going?
Yeah, I miss Brussels but I'm keeping busy here and things are going okay. Boy and I still together? I guessssss. Actually, I don't really know. It's, er, complicated?
Well, every thing has its season. Things will sort themselves out. Good thing you are in Van though! Good place to stay busy. In other news, I want to come to Vancouver! Little Melissa is living there right now... I'm not sure where, but she's staying for the summer. Time permitting, I'm thinking of using up some of my dad's Airmiles and coming out there. I've never ever been!

You are a pal. I'm still coming to Kingston to hang out with you, Kemper,Andrew and Lisa. Also, Sunday drives are delightful. I felt really sleepy afterwards because of (over)exposure to sun. I have light-sensitivity, you know!
