Thanksgiving and other stuff

chalain  and I spent Thanksgiving weekend with his parents this year. We drove to their house on Wednesday and came home on Sunday. We had a really nice time. His parents have been doing some remodeling and de-junking. This year instead of sleeping on an air mattress on the floor in the spare room that was being used for storage, they created a guest

Sounds like they worked hard to make you comfortable there. How is Get Smart? I've not yet watched it.

Our thanksgiving was eventful. We ended up eating out because we had a glass baking dish shatter all over the kitchen, embedding shards in the turkey. Thankfully the turkey at one of the local restaurants was excellent. :)

Get Smart was enjoyable and funny, not super funny but amusing.

Sorry about your glass shard turkey. Glad you had a restaurant nearby to go to.

Oh, it just gave us an excuse to try something new for thanksgiving. :)
I did a search on google, found an article in our local paper listing 23 restaurants that were open on that day and what hours...

(Also gave us more reasons to be thankful... that nobody was seriously injured in the great kitchen explosion of 2008. :)
