I finally got tired of having a super dirty house. I made myself a chore schedule. I set tasks to do everyday so I didn't burnout trying to get the whole house clean all in one go. I've been in a funk lately. I need to avoid surfing social media for a while. I want to focus my time on catching up on my house and yard work, improving my health, and maybe reading some books.
  

These past couple of months I've been perpetually behind in everything - reconciling the bank accounts, cleaning the house, exercising, journaling. I've been behind in my days, my todo lists seemed very reasonable but time slipped away before I could get half done. Things took twice as long as I thought they should. On Monday I had a "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" kind of day, but without the fun. I took a shower and noticed the tub really needed to be cleaned. I grabbed the cleanser from under the cabinet and saw the floor needed to be vacuumed to pick up the stray tracked cat litter. If I was going to vacuum the floor I should clean the litter box first. Chalain came back from 2 weeks in California May 19th. He took two week off while looking for more work. We took the time to go to the Living Planet Aquarium. Shooting guns has become his new hobby so he's been doing that a lot. I usually come along. Sometimes he gets to go with his gun enthusiast friends. Chalain was at Rails Conf in Austin, TX this past week. He left Sunday afternoon and returned Thursday night. He did a live pod cast with his Ruby Rogues cohorts. He said they were only expecting a few people to attend and they filled the auditorium. I made some goals for this coming year. A lot of them are similar to the goals you hear most people making at the beginning of the year. I've decided not to call them "resolutions" because of the perception that if I miss one day/repetition I've "failed".

I purchased a topper for our guest bed so it’s no longer hard as a rock.

I bought cases of canned goods for our food storage. I carried them and the cases that I purchased 6 months ago, that have been residing on our kitchen floor, down to our storage room.
