Okay, the first thing is, what is Bad Wolf really?
I can only give MY take on it. I recently watched TPOTW and I'm convinced "Bad Wolf" is NOT Rose, but is actually the TARDIS. As the Doctor's stated many times in the new and old series, the ship is alive, sentient and it's been shown to actively protect the Doctor (and his companions) from danger it senses.
"Rose" said, "I am the Bad Wolf, I leave messages throughout time to lead me here". How could Rose do that? The TARDIS could. When Rose absorbed the heart of the TARDIS, she became a tool for the ship to save "her Doctor", which is who I think was speaking most of the time during those scenes - the shipRose herself did come through at times, obviously when she resurrected Jack. Oh that makes so much sense. I am a big Rose/Doctor shipper but I'm not delusional, there had to be something more to it than Rose being the Bad Wolf!
Okay, so Billie Piper has signed on officially for three episodes. *fingers crossed she stays for longer* But they are advertising Donna as the new companion, but Martha is back next season too. So how long is Donna going to be a permenant fixture? Cause honestly she doesn't do it for me, but hey to each their own. So the question really is, what the hell is going to happen at the beginning of this series? I am so confused.
I've nothing against the Rose/Doctor 'ship (I rather liked Rose/Nine myself) but there are some real nutters out in fandom. Some of them get way too scary about it.
It's been the general basis of Doctor Who that companions come and go. There's only been one instance where a companion "left" the Doctor only to rejoin with him again and stay for a long period of time, which was Tegan Jovanka with the Fifth Doctor

I was actually quite upset with Christopher left the show, it took awhile for David to grow on me, that said he is a good Doctor, and I really don't think I could deal with another doctor change anytime soon

And don't worry, I bitch and complain all the time about teaching - less about the profession and more about the stupidity found in the classroom.
