Hi. :) I couldn't respond to the message you sent me via the Message Center, so I decided to C & P my responses here.

Okay, the first thing is, what is Bad Wolf really?

I can only give MY take on it. I recently watched TPOTW and I'm convinced "Bad Wolf" is NOT Rose, but is actually the TARDIS. As the Doctor's stated many times in the new and old series, the ship is alive, sentient and it's been shown to actively protect the Doctor (and his companions) from danger it senses.

"Rose" said, "I am the Bad Wolf, I leave messages throughout time to lead me here". How could Rose do that? The TARDIS could. When Rose absorbed the heart of the TARDIS, she became a tool for the ship to save "her Doctor", which is who I think was speaking most of the time during those scenes - the ship.

Rose herself did come through at times, obviously when she resurrected Jack. Staunch Rose/Doctor 'shippers have their own interpretation, that it was ALL Rose, which is fine, it works for them. Though I firmly believe it was the ship working through Rose, and that the "Bad Wolf" is Time itself. Remember in series 2, the lupine alien said to her, "You've had a bit of the wolf in you yourself".

The second question I wont ask until after the beginning of the beginning of this season

Go ahead and ask. I'm spoiled for S4. All the way up to the next X-Mas special, actually.

Thanks for everything.

Welcome. :)

Also, I added you to my FL, if that's okay? I'm always looking for more DW friends. :)

Oh that makes so much sense. I am a big Rose/Doctor shipper but I'm not delusional, there had to be something more to it than Rose being the Bad Wolf!

Okay, so Billie Piper has signed on officially for three episodes. *fingers crossed she stays for longer* But they are advertising Donna as the new companion, but Martha is back next season too. So how long is Donna going to be a permenant fixture? Cause honestly she doesn't do it for me, but hey to each their own. So the question really is, what the hell is going to happen at the beginning of this series? I am so confused.

I've nothing against the Rose/Doctor 'ship (I rather liked Rose/Nine myself) but there are some real nutters out in fandom. Some of them get way too scary about it.

It's been the general basis of Doctor Who that companions come and go. There's only been one instance where a companion "left" the Doctor only to rejoin with him again and stay for a long period of time, which was Tegan Jovanka with the Fifth Doctor.

Donna, who'll join him in the first episode next Saturday, is going to be the main companion for the Tenth until those later episodes when Martha and Rose do return. I understand they may have plans for Martha where TW (a show I don't watch and can't stand) is concerned and she might be a recurring character in DW.

Rose, I have no idea what they plan to do with her after the finale. The deal with the three "specials" in 2009 instead of a proper series leaves a huge questions mark. Though I'm personally leaning to her returning to her parallel world by the end of series 4. I'm not sure about Donna. Comments Catherine Tate's made seem to indicate she's only planning to be in the one series. Also, I've heard mention of a brand NEW companion for series 5. Names have been thrown about the last six months in relation to it.

As for Donna, I rather liked her in TRB, since she reminded me a lot of my all-time favorite DW companion, Tegan. She's not terribly popular in fandom, either, but I don't care. I'd have to think she'll be less acerbic in the show than she was in the X-Mas special. I suspect a lot of that had to do with her situation rather than who she is. She has potential, I just hope RTD recognizes it. He dropped the ball BIG on Martha, though I loved the character from the start.

Hope that helped out.

I've nothing against the Rose/Doctor 'ship (I rather liked Rose/Nine myself) but there are some real nutters out in fandom.

I was actually quite upset with Christopher left the show, it took awhile for David to grow on me, that said he is a good Doctor, and I really don't think I could deal with another doctor change anytime soon.

I really don't know what it is about Donna that I don't like, I am hoping she does grow on me, like David did or else it's going to be a very long last series.

For some reason I don't see Rose being "rescued" until the last or second last episode of the season, so it makes the audience freak out and really seak out those spoilers, if you are anything like me ;) Since all I've read is Billie Piper has signed on to do three episodes, rather than she has signed on for three episodes in the fourth series. I don't know, I need to be less hyper about this ♥ The speculation may kill me before we even get her on screen.

Martha on TW, that would be interesting. I have just started TW, but I don't know if I'm going to get into it. I think I may have to skip over the first series though. Continuing on this companion train of though, anyone really interesting being considered for the companion in the five series? I can't believe that we are going to have to wait two years. Really not pleased about that. Shit, I am all over the board. I should probably sit down and try to have some sort of prose to this post, but I'm going to be lazy :D
