Summerfest 2013 or rather 1013

I can’t quite believe Summerfest has been and gone for another year, though the piles of washing I’ve had and boxes to put away prove it. As usual I have no clue what the plot was, but people seemed to be having a good time and that’s the main thing*.

Ah, so that's what the bar looks like from the front, as a customer. :-D

We did sell more baked potatoes than in previous years. I think we even sold out on the Friday! Some people didn't feel like stew, but went away quite satisfied with baked potato and cheese with cheesy chips on the sides.

Shame we couldn't incite the midges and wasps to go to war against each other, and indulge in some mutual annihilation.

I was determined to get some photographic proof of it all this year, it always seems such a shame to do it all and have nothing to show for it.

Glad to hear we did more baked pots, though with chips on the side that does seem a little bit of a carb overdose. But then if the customer is happy... :-D

Maybe wasps do get bitten by midges and that's why they're so irritable!

Thank you :-) It takes the effort of many people to pull it off, but it's worthwhile I think, simply from the fact it means fest goers don't have to worry about how they're going to bring their own food & drink if they don't have a car.

There have been a lot of comments on how good the food was, and some people are talking about nominating the Cat in the catering category at the UK LARP awards :-)

:-) That would be nice, but I expect because we don't do any other fests we'd not get anywhere with the voting. Shame I don't have more free time.
