the very first time i saw you you were outside of the huntridge by the merch tables sitting against the wall. i remember looking at you & thinking that i wanted you to be my friend because some people make me think that way, but not many. just something about you was so inviting. i dont know char, you amaze me in so many ways. ive kind of run into the ground how highly i think of you & how gorgeous i think you are, but whatever man. its the truth. we're all doing the best that we can; at least i know that you & i alike are.

Dearest Charlene,
I'll try to avoid all the psychobabble, and take this opportunity to tell you that you are one of the best friends I've made since... well, ever. And, however infrequent our encounters may be, that much will always be true. Believe it or not our movie nights have become veritable legend, folklore of teenagers at their finest moments (screaming at hilary duff in a cinderella story most notably, not to discredit dodgeball, of course). I've since started a little ritual with my friends, and we have great fun, although I'd love it if you'd take a fucking day off of work to show those girls how to get a real theatre riot started. Charlene, I love you, I really do, and I miss you.

I don't have a hard time understanding you...you're awesome Char you really really are. I wish you could know that impact that you had in my life. I think about it and I just kinda smile...I laugh at the fact that I haven't known you for like the longest time you know? we didn't grow up together or anything, but summer of 03 was the best...and you made it the best. I had a fucken wonderful time just chillin at your house, you introduced me to bands and movies I never imagined to even tolerate. I remember watching 'Secretary' with you...haha
