Bite-Sized Kink

Aug 02, 2012 00:51

Upon request, I am opening a one-word prompt post for all you devious anons. (Although note that, despite the 'kink' in the thread title, it need not be a steamy fill).

So. Post a one-word prompt, and anons may reply with a sentence, a drabble, or even something longer should inspiration strike.

I suggest that we do it as follows:

He awakes to green, and it feels silky and soft, almost like down. He runs his fingers through it, and it feels like water. It’s calming, consoling.

The voice, on the other hand, is acerbic. “I just washed my hair, boy.”

Suzaku blinks, his vision re-focusing. The endless green becomes hair, and a face appears: feline eyes and an unimpressed expression. “Ah, C.C….”

C.C. is looming over him, hair dripping onto his chin. She’s so close to him that her eyes look disproportionately big. “Our esteemed emperor wishes to have a word with you,” she says, drawing back slightly. “Apparently, it’s important.”

It’s never flat-out important. It’s always “apparently” or “rumor has it.” According to the grapevine. Suzaku smiles. “Okay,” he says, “I’ll be up in a minute ( ... )

This is lovely; I don't really understand the last line, but there are some really lovely observations here. :)

When Suzaku is knighted, he bows low before his princess on stone as she taps a dull blade on his shoulder; pink shimmers slightly on the glossed floor, and Suzaku traces her image with his eyes on the cold floor.

After the sword has been taken away, after they are alone, Euphemia presses a kiss to each of Suzaku's eyelids. And when he opens his eyes, the world has not changed. He supresses the pit that is creeping up his throat, and Euphemia takes his hand. Suzaku thinks, at that moment, that maybe he could really be friends with her, this princess.

(And later, much later, he will watch Euphemia lay in the green, green grass and thinks that he could fall in love with her; he will never realize that he already has, not until she is gone and her dress is stained with blood.)

Thoughts crash into Mao's head like bullets, sending him staggering. He hates this, hates these people. He curls up in his seat, pressing his hands to his ears and shutting his eyes tight. Noisy.

Noisy.

Noisy people, with their loud voices chattering.

Their thoughts crash into him once again, suffocating him.

Die, Mao thinks, die die die die die.

I like how you used Mao for this! Very creative.

Even those he's an abhorrent person, you have to sympathize that he's always suffocated by people's thoughts. It makes sense why he's so obsessed with C.C.

When Suzaku awakes from a nightmare, a haze of red and pink and tears and no no no, Lelouch’s fingers are combing through his hair. Suzaku instantly recoils.

“Are you okay?” Lelouch asks, withdrawing his hand. He tilts his head to the side, and the shadows wobble on his face. Gray on his cheeks, black on his mouth. Suzaku shivers.

Suzaku doesn’t say anything, so, finally, Lelouch sighs and shifts, the shadows scattering and says, “I guess that’s a stupid question.” He gives a small self-deprecating chuckle.

“Did…” Suzaku trails off and stares at the wall; he can’t look in Lelouch’s eyes when he asks this. “Did I say something?”

“Yes, you…called out for Euphemia.”

Suzaku swallows. That is what he feared. The worst part is that this Lelouch wants to talk about it. He wants to piece together Suzaku’s grief and explain to him that it’s not his fault. He couldn’t have anticipated it. Couldn’t have known.

And sometimes Suzaku just wants to shout at him that it’s his fault. It’s all Lelouch’s fault. It’s Lelouch’s fault ( ... )

Anything with C.C.

C.C. doesn't like children. Kids can barely take care of themselves and they are not good enough to make interesting company. Most of them tend to be annoying and brash, quiet and spoiled, not aware of the world, their vulnerability or the pass of time. It's not that she likes adults or teenagers either, but since she can remember -how many decades, centuries, can she actually remember?- she recalls that aversion she feels at the sight of a child screaming, crying, laughing ( ... )

Something to do with the Black Knights would be lovely.

Somewhere along the line, the Black Knights stops being a group and starts becoming a family: Ohgi likes to say that it happened when they accomplished their first successful raid, but Kallen knows that the trigger was a music box and fifteen drunk men's renditions of a childhood song.
