A/N: Wow another chapter already?  There is a lot of dialogue in this chapter.  It makes the dynamics of the characters clearer to see.  You’ll get more TomaPi action as well as more insight to the back stories.

Yamapi’s fingers tangled in Toma’s hair as he brought him closer for another kiss.  Full with desire, the pressure of their lips intensified into a warming pleasure.  Their lips were parted, tongues intertwined with passion.  Toma pushed Yamapi down, straddling his waist.  Yamapi pulled the remote from under his back and tossed it on the coffee table.  Toma’s lips moved to Yamapi’s neck, leaving a smoldering trail.  Breathy moans spilled from Yamapi’s mouth as he felt his arousal rise.

“You need to finish soon.  We got to go out to meet Jin and his new guy,” Pi said lazily, his body grinding into his lover.

“When? You didn’t mention this before?” Toma stilled as he looked in Pi’s eyes.

“I mentioned it now,” he grinned at Toma triumphantly.

“Then I’ll just get ready now.  I don’t want to feel rushed,” Tom declared, his body pulling away from Pi.

“No we aren’t done yet,” Yamapi whined as he tried to pull Toma back on top of him.

“What time did tell him we’d be there?” Toma asked, still sitting up on his knees.

“At eight.  We have time,” Pi argued as he tried to produce more friction.

Toma looked over at the clock before frowning.

“It is 7:30.  We’ll be late,” Toma sighed before getting off the couch.

“Jin never expects me on time.  Come on Toma,” Pi pleaded in vain as Toma padded to the bedroom.

“I still love you, Tomo,” Toma called from their room.

Yamapi tried to hide his smile before writing a text to Jin.

You just cost me sex.  You better be paying.
-Pi

That’s what you get for trying to be late.  Nice that Toma keeps you in line.
-Jin

I might not come now.
-Pi

Slut
-Jin

So see you at 8
-Jin

Yeah I’ll be there soon

“You need to get ready.  I could help you get dressed,” Pi heard Toma from the doorway, his voice smug.

“Fine but at the club, you’re mine,” Yamapi said with a smile.

--

“Who was that?” Ryo asked as he placed his chopsticks down.

“Pi.  We’re going to meet up with him and Toma after dinner, if that is okay with you…” Jin said hesitantly as he looked up at Ryo.

“Fine with me,” Ryo said nonchalantly before finishing the rest of his food.

“I’m glad you agreed to show,” Jin smiled with a brightness to his face that awed Ryo.

“I had time to kill,” Ryo answered, turning his head away.

“Good.  I was hoping it wouldn’t be awkward,” Jin said quietly, the brightness dimed.

“Like it hasn’t stopped you before,” Ryo stated with sarcasm lacing his words.

“And you like it,” Jin smiled as his hand reached out to pick up an imaginary hair off of Ryo’s shoulder, the tips of his fingers brushing his neck briefly.

Ryo’s heart raced the slightest bit faster, triggering the images of Jin from the other night.  The look in Jin’s eyes were bewitching and urged Ryo forward.  Just as Jin’s hand was pulling away, Ryo grabbed it.  Once he had Jin’s hand, he wasn’t sure what to do with it.  Embarrassed, Ryo dropped Jin’s hand and looked away.  Jin tried to hide his surprise with a quickly formulated mask.

“We better get going.  Toma will kick my ass if I’m late,” Jin swallowed, getting up from his chair quickly.

“What the hell is wrong with me…?” Ryo mumbled to himself.

--

“Ryo this is Toma, Pi’s boyfriend, and Toma this is Ryo,” Jin introduced as the four sat at a high top table near the bar.

“Ikuta Toma.  It’s a pleasure,” Toma said with his hand extended.

“Nishikido Ryo,” he said as he shook Toma’s hand.  “Ikuta Toma as in the manga artist?”

“One in the same,” Toma answered gleefully after being recognized.

“Wow, kids come in all the time to read your work,” Ryo said, clearly impressed.

“Tomo told me you worked at a manga café,” Toma mentioned offhandedly.

“You work at a manga café?  How come you didn’t tell me that?” Jin asked in an accusing tone.

“It never came up,” Ryo answered bluntly with his eyes trained on Jin.

“He was in uniform when he came into the restaurant the other day.  I asked where he worked,” Pi clarified as he tried to pacify his friend.

“Oh,” Jin muttered with a sheepish expression.

“Drinks then?” Toma presented as he moved away from the awkwardness.

--

“So how long have you two been dating?” Ryo asked Pi while Toma and Jin went to get more drinks.

“It will be seven years in a few weeks,” Pi answered with a glimmer in his eyes.

“That’s something,” Ryo replied back when he couldn’t think of anything else to say.

“We’ve all known each other since we were kids.  I’ve known Toma for twelve years and I’ve known Jin for ten,” Yamapi commented with a fondness as he watched the pair return to the table.

Once they set the drinks on the table, Jin nudged Toma before saying, “Maybe we shouldn’t have left them alone.”

“I concur, they have weird looks on their faces,” Toma agreed, easily falling into the act with Jin.

Pi rolled his eyes, taking his glass.

“We were talking about how much I’ve suffered since I met you two,” Pi flared dramatically.  “Right, Ryo?”

Pi winked at him over his glass to encourage him.

“It was a painful experience from what I’ve heard,” Ryo grinned along with Pi.

“He was probably getting all mushy,” Jin snickered before proceeding to ball up a napkin and throw it at Pi.

“Play nice.  We don’t want the nice bouncer to throw us out,” Toma suggested, still amused.

“I don’t know about the rest of you, but I want to dance!” Jin exclaimed after downing his beer.

“I want to see these infamous dance skill you keep talking about,” Ryo said as the alcohol set into his system.

Jin quickly took Ryo’s hand to lead him out onto the floor.

“You think it will be alright?” Pi worriedly asked Toma.

“He seems like an alright guy.  Jin may have grabbed a good one,” Toma speculated, “but I saw what you meant.  He is a very guarded person.”

“That is what worries me,” Pi sighed, his fingers tracing the drops of water on the outside of his glass.

Toma leaned over, his mouth by Pi’s ear, “Why don’t you relax some?”

“Hm? Does this mean I get a treat when I get home?” Pi responded, his voice lowered as his desire rose.

“You might,” Toma smirked, lips barely touching his boyfriend’s neck.

“Feel like dancing?”

--

Ryo thought, after watching Jin dance, that it  was something amazing.  His moves were fluid yet so intricate and precise.  Ryo knew he was pretty good on his feet, but it was nothing compared to Jin’s awing skills.  It was seductive the way Jin danced in front of him; so much that Ryo had to touch him.  Jin smirked as he moved against Ryo expertly as any accomplished dancer would.  Ryo moved with the music, with Jin, as the desire built within him.  They grinded against one another, seeking more pleasure, more skin to touch.  The soft sounds Jin released into Ryo’s ears were more deafening then the music.  However, Ryo knew he had to pull away or he wouldn’t be able to stop himself any longer.

“Smoke break?” Ryo whispered huskily into Jin’s ear.

Jin looked disappointed at first but gave into Ryo’s request.  With some regret, they pulled away from each other and tried to fight their way through the crowd.  They headed out to the alleyway in the protection of the streetlight.  They both pulled out packs of cigarettes, but Jin still tried to feel around for his lighter.  Ryo lit his, the tip glowing amber in the night.  Jin sighed, defeated, when he could not find his lighter, causing Ryo to laugh.

“Come here,” Ryo said gently as he moved closer to Jin.  Their faces moved closer as Ryo cupped his hand to light Jin’s cigarette.

They stood beside each other against the building wall.  Two amber lights glowed as tiny trails of smoke fizzled into the night sky.  Ryo observed Jin out of the corner of his eye; he watched as the cigarette was brought to Jin’s mouth then away, smoke bellowing out of parted lips.  Ryo saw his smoke mixed with Jin’s in the air.  He finally thought he could relax around the dancer.

“Ryo, is there a reason you left Osaka?” Jin asked curiously while putting out his cigarette.

“Jin, don’t.  I’m having a good time,” Ryo scoffed, moving to crouch down.

“No really.  Why did you leave?” Jin persisted while looking down at him.

Ryo commented with his annoyance showing, “There is a reason just like there is a reason why I’m not going to tell you.”

Upset, Jin replied back, “Why don’t you tell me about yourself?  I mean, Pi seems like he knows more about you then I do.”

“When I say leave it alone, I mean leave it alone.  Besides, not like you tell me everything about yourself either,” Ryo snapped, pushing his cigarette in the ground before lighting another.

“What the hell do you mean by that?  You know what I do for a living, about my dancing, and you have met my best friends.  What more do you want?” Jin yelled, his eyes dark with anger.

“Nothing.  Look, maybe you have this nice life and best friends, but some of us don’t have this comfortable life.  Some of us have a lot of pain in their pasts that they don’t want brought up,” Ryo snarled as he stood to meet Jin’s stare.

Jin’s eyes darkened like something Ryo would picture in a nightmare; he tried to stand his ground, but the slightest chill ran down his spine.

“I… killed someone before.  He was the most important to me, and yet, I killed him,” Jin whispered with rough anger and regret, holding himself back from screaming.  “So don’t you dare fucking tell me that I know nothing of pain.”

Ryo stood still, watching the tears form in Jin’s eyes.  He opened his mouth, but no sound came out, even as Jin stormed away.  He just stood there, wishing he could just melt into the earth.  Ryo’s thoughts raced to find something joyful; however, all his thoughts returned to Jin’s words and his despair stricken eyes.  Ryo wasn’t sure how much time had passed before he was able to move again.  He clutched his head in a dirty alleyway as he cursed himself.

“What am I doing?” Ryo mumbled to the black sky.
