Nice little note this, not as sad as I was expecting from the title. I would have loved to have found out about Mal's mother in the series, I imagine she's a strong and independent woman like this.

Yeah, I thought that myself..But Mal is such an interesting sort. He finds sadness in great joys and redemption in great sadnesses... Thank you for your comment, it makes what we do as fic writers that much more rewarding.
