Poor River :( Her reaction was maybe expectable considering what happened to her.

She felt his tension in the corded muscles of his neck, the arms deceptively relaxed around her, vibrating. Love this line, its beautiful and the lovely words like lucidity,tangy spice just make this chapter more beautiful.
