So, the 'hen' I had so graciously been allowing to live in my yard...is really a rooster. Goodbye

It still might be worth calling the bird rescue, because they might know other resources even if they won't take it. Or a veterinarian might know someone willing to take it on.

It did look rather...roosterly. I don't suppose any farmers in the area are looking for another rooster or perhaps a snack?
