I had that feeling too but mostly because people FUCKING SUCK AT CUTTING FOR (REACTION) SPOILERS. Not, that I'm you know, bitter or anything. I just ... I'm not sure I realized it'd be so soon.
I like that her character finally became useful to the story. I also thought it was interesting to see her story in comparison to, say, the witches in MM. The "book club" was just out for lower interest rates and stuff and kinda got duped into selling their souls. And the CB victims sold their souls for talents. Now it was implied that Bela, on the other hand, had seen her situation as so desperate that she was willing to hand over her soul for 10 good years (which is reminiscent of Dean being so desperate for Sam that he was willing to sell his soul for one good year). Y'know, different angles on the same story.
I like Dean actually being smart and quick on the uptake. Especially after his "we're smart" at the beginning of the episode.
Yes, he was/is a doctor. Or, what was/is left of a doctor. I kinda got a kick out of them burying him in a fridge.
As much as the thought of eye gouging was grossing me out, a tiny part of me was rooting for him to lose the eye, too. There were just so many possibilities!
Oh, I do like that, I hadn't given it much thought about the selling of souls. I wonder if there's a set of rules and guidelines that says how long you get for your soul.
I don't know that I'll miss Bela, exactly. I didn't not like her, and was bordering on kind of liking her until she went all klepto on Sam & Dean. She was a good character, and had some purpose, if only for expanding the world they all live in, it's just that some things were probably not done properly.
For instance, compare her introduction to Ruby's. Ruby had one scene in the premiere and I think two in the second episode? Then she wasn't around for a couple? Bela was in one, a lot, caused the problems she was going to cause, made the boys look kind of stupid, and took off.
I don't know - I guess maybe a little more time and a little bit more of a chance from some fans, and she would have turned out better.
Kind of makes me wonder if Alona and Lauren resent some of the Supernatural fans now. :)
Maybe he could've gotten a parrot, and every time he picked up a sword, Dean could have worried about him breaking a headlight.
Um, maybe I'm as dense as a doornob, but isn't Lauren Cohen still listed as a regular? I mean despite the ending I really didn't think she was going to biff it. Honestly it looks like Dean and Bela are going to be demons, most likely good demons like Ruby. And then Sam can embrace his evil-sourced supernatural powers and they all can fight crime and really be like Buffy.
You know, I wasn't pissed at the writers during the writers' strike, but goddammit now that they are back they need to do their fucking job! They tried to introduce so much this season and didn't give themselves the pace to resolve it. Why spend all that trouble introducing her slowly and unstably only to rush her out of the show? Why have Sam have a sex dream about her if nothing is going to come of it? Couldn't her story have been resolved in the beginning or middle of season four? Where the hell is Ruby? And why was Sam all ooc this ep? I AM ANGRY WITH MY SHOW.
I like the show, because I enjoy Sam and Dean. They're nice, they're big and strong and kick ass. And they're really pretty. But as for plot and shit ... I'm not feeling it. I don't care like I should.

Yeah, I guess if I step back I do like that there was some closure and what not, but still.

Maybe Sam can sell his eye for Dean's life.

Sam with a bloody eye socket could've been interesting. I just kinda want to see the doctor messing around with the bare eyeball.

I think if I were those girls I'd be a bit resentful or a lot.
Ahahahaha. Sam should just get a parrot anyway.
