I like that her character finally became useful to the story. I also thought it was interesting to see her story in comparison to, say, the witches in MM. The "book club" was just out for lower interest rates and stuff and kinda got duped into selling their souls. And the CB victims sold their souls for talents. Now it was implied that Bela, on the other hand, had seen her situation as so desperate that she was willing to hand over her soul for 10 good years (which is reminiscent of Dean being so desperate for Sam that he was willing to sell his soul for one good year). Y'know, different angles on the same story.
I like Dean actually being smart and quick on the uptake. Especially after his "we're smart" at the beginning of the episode.
Yes, he was/is a doctor. Or, what was/is left of a doctor. I kinda got a kick out of them burying him in a fridge.
As much as the thought of eye gouging was grossing me out, a tiny part of me was rooting for him to lose the eye, too. There were just so many possibilities!
Oh, I do like that, I hadn't given it much thought about the selling of souls. I wonder if there's a set of rules and guidelines that says how long you get for your soul.

Maybe Sam can sell his eye for Dean's life.

Sam with a bloody eye socket could've been interesting. I just kinda want to see the doctor messing around with the bare eyeball.

And? And? Sam grunty-in-pain noises!

hmmm...isn't that what the evil pagan gods said after they ripped out Sam's fingernail for Christmas?
