Pressure
"Will you?" I ask.
Leah replies by pushing me into the shower. The water's cold; I turn up the heat. Two kisses later my hands are slick, her hair is in wet ribbons, and the glass pane is fogged.
Sin. Soap. Skin.
We stand breathing in the rise of vapor and the fall of water. A kettle reaching boiling point, Leah slides her splayed palm across my chest. "Don," she says, meeting my eyes.
Where there's steam, there's pressure.
"I'll testify."
What have I done? Her agreement is reprimand not release, but even expelled from Eden I still want her.
