Well, I'm pretty darned sure that the inmates of Her Majesty's Prison (HMP) Oxford (nor the fictional HMP Larkhall (of "Bad Girls" series) never had food this good as the supper I had tonight at Malmaison Oxford - nor would they have paid what I had. But it's a once in a lifetime thing (hopefully not, though), so I figured why the Hades not ( Read more... )

There's no picture under that second to last link, but if it was the town we visited on our way hom on Friday, then it's Chipping Sodbury.

There is now. I've fixed the link and renamed it to its proper town. :)

Thanks for the links. It's a nice website with good information. :)

Hi Ya

Here I was, opening up the photos to check out your trip, when suddenly from across the room screams Jenna... That's MY Auntie Lynn! She is far away, but loves me! She sent me this picture. Oh Thank you Thank you!

So thanks for the update on your vacation, and the photo of yourself for Jenna.

Huge difference in the rooms that were jail cells, vs the room you are in!

Have fun!

She's such a cutie. Hey, I got her an Oxford University t-shirt in pink. Should be fun to show her when I get back. The rain has been on and off today. I've got to make a run down to the station to see about getting some more stamps. And mail off the postcards that I have ready. But no lugging of all the stuff I did today. I'm now back in London at my Uncle Tom's.

I'd have thought it'd be kinda creepy to stay at a prison, but your pictures of Oxford, make it look worth looking into. Thanks for posting them. Not that you probably read any comments on stuff this far back, now.

Ah, I read them as I get a note in my email saying that someone's responded to one of my journal posts or comments :).

More of a reminder to see who's posted to what journal posting. Thanks for the comment.

I really enjoyed it. Hard to believe it's been nearly a year since I stayed there (May 21, 2006).
