Good-bye, Sarah Jane

She was my first Companion, the one I measured all others against. I proudly showed my daughter a show about her fighting aliens, protecting the Earth. I'll miss her.

My parents actually named me after her. I was never keen on the name itself, but I've always thought Sarah Jane herself was a fantastic character. I'm sad that she's gone. :(

We almost named Frog "Sarah." We went with another kick-ass heroine, but it made me happy when she started watching The Sarah Jane Adventures.

It's probably not so bad now, but when my parents named me, Sarah was the first or second most popular girls' name in the US. It made going to school really frustrating. ^^; But I'll always love Sarah Jane Smith.
