I was going to post this whiny screed about how I'd really sort of like to go 24 hours, just one day, without being told that something I love is terrible, awful, unredeemably bad, etc, and how it makes me sad that apparently, to do that, I have to avoid fandom ( Read more... )

It's fannish NIRVANA for me the next month or two, are you kidding? New season of Deadliest Catch, and the rest of SPN season three! \o/ And renewal! Even PEOPLE WHO DISS WRITERS I LOVE cannot harsh THAT squee. Wheeeeee!

Also happy-making: Dean, saying "Thankee-sai." I CAN SEE IT. Really. I can see Dean there. It's harder with Sam -- there's something old in Dean that seems to speak of a world that is in the midst of moving on, and Sam is all newness.

I suppose Dean really is Cuthbert, more than anyone, but there is a lot of Roland in him, too. Potentially. There is so much honor imbedded in Dean, how to say? Wouldn't that be a hell of a crossover? Dean and Sam, raised as Roland was? John would have fit right in.

Man, that just made me shiver. Am I nuts? It just...yeah.

*flails* All of this. Yeah, Dean is more Cuthbert/Eddie (and actually, Sam is a bit Alain, oooooh), and yeah, as fusion-fic, it has serious potential.

Me-the-TE-Lawrence-fangirl is currently very excited by the fact that, this time next week, I'll be in Syria. And I'll be visiting so many Lawrence-related sites that I can't quite believe it.

And me-the-Doctor-Who-fangirl is made happy by the podcast commentaries on the various episodes, in which Catherine Tate is totally awesome and hilarious.

I found a Colossus movieverse action figure and bought it. Every time I pass the bookcase I stood him on, I smile.

I'm writing a Stargate SG-1/Siren's Song/Marysue AU and enjoying myself immensely. And I also found another Aris Boch fan so I've had snippets and drabbles to READ!

Stargate Atlantis Gen Ficathon has been producing some wonderful stories.

I am two tapes away from finishing rewatching The Sentinel. It's been more fun than I expected.
