So it finally happened.

[The kitsune gave a yelp and the blow knocked him down, jaw colliding with the floor with a sick thud. He stood up a little groggy, shaking his head and trying to find where the echidna had gone]

[Knuckles isn't giving the beast much chance to recover.]

[While the Kitsune was looking for him, Knuckles had been climbing the church walls, and was now diving down at him from high up.]

[It was risky using the same tactic again, but if he was lucky enough to hit, he figured the extra force from the drop would be enough to knock the kitsune out completely.]

[Tails' ear twitched at the sound of cracking stone. He looked up in time to see Knuckles dropping down on him. he spun around, arm reaching out to try and pluck the echidna out of the air]

[Knuckles gasped as he was caught, and looked more than a little worried before he glared at the Kitsune.]

Well what are you waiting for?

[He knew Tails would remember this...and Knuckles would not let him remember the echidna being scared or hurt, no matter what.]

I've faced bigger and badder than you. So lets just get this over with.

[Tails glared at the echidna, bringing his hand up to smash his 'friend' against the ground.]

[Knuckles gasped as he hit the ground, the wind knocked out of him and his ribs aching.]

[But that didn't stop Knuckles from twisting in the kitsune's now loosened grip and aiming a nasty jab at his wrist.]

[Tails shook his hand out, pulling it back and cradling the wrist against his chest. Cold eyes glared at Knuckles before Tails lashed out again with four of his tails.]

[Knuckles had just about enough of those extra tails, he tried to grab the first two and use him to anchor himself as the other two struck]

[Those tails were an advantage that 'Tails' was going to exploit. With two pinned, he brought his remaining one's back before driving them at Knuckles like pistons.

[Knuckles weathered the blows the best he could.]

Sorry Tails.

[And let go of one of the two tails in order to painfully twist the other one.]

[He let out a cry that sounded more like a rawr, but still held a small trace of the kitsune's voice. The monster pulled back, trying to tug the tail out of Knuckles grasp.]

[Comment log!] He knew it was cheap, that's why he said sorry.

[Knuckles heard that trace, that tiny bit of Tails crying in pain, and Tails may have seen him wince just before his managed to pull his Tail free. But the echidna was still ready to fight.]

[Although those blows had taken their toll. His stance was unsteady even if his glare was was firm.]

(ooc: Oops, I missed out 'try and' in my last post sorry. Also, Knux can only take another one or two blows so have at &hearts)

[The fox-were watched Knuckles carefully, pacing around him slowly before tackling Knuckles again, this time attacking with claws instead of the fuzzy weapons he'd been using before.]

[Knuckles made the mistake of watching the tails and not the claws, and the kitsune's attack struck home. leaving three deep scratches across Knuckles chest.]

He held one hand over them for a second and winced at the sting, and wasn't surprised in the least when he saw the glove come away red.]

Not bad kid.

[Knuckles charged at Tails, aiming to uppercut the kitsune.]

[Tails paused at the the smell of the blood, wrinkling his nose in disgust. At the smell or something else maybe. He shook his head and braced himself for the echidnas hit.
