Slow Day (nyuk, nyuk)

Sometimes I feel like all I do all day is rescue snails. Like Bender, most saltwater snails can't turn over if they land on their backs, so they just flail around until they starve to death. That being the case, I'm not sure why they're not more careful about the whole falling on their backs thing. I have used a stick to flip over five separate (or ( Read more... )

If it makes you feel better, I spent the day saving a *media* lecturer from powerpoint.

In nature they probably do the same thing he usually does. Call for technical support.

Oh my. Hahaha. Maybe, in nature, it's a way for them to deal with over population? Maybe.

You know, it did occur to me that I never seem to have any less snails, despite the fact that there are surely several each week that I'm not around to rescue.

I do have a bunch of baby snails, maybe 100 or so (it's hard to tell cos they hide in the reef, but once I counted 67 of them all at once on the glass). That's generally an indicator of an exceptionally healthy tank when your snails reproduce, and they did pop up all at once, so they obviously lay eight-seven-billion eggs at a time.
