As if it was the first time he had ever seen The World That Never Was fall victim to a shower of rain, the young had opened all the windows in his tiny apartment. There was nothing to do today, no work, no shopping, and with Luke at work, he had the chance to just stop, relax. He reflected on the past few days, uneventful though they were.

Ever since the mental plague that struck him and his replica, a rather dull, sullen veil was cast over the place. Luke's attitude never changed, yet Asch found himself choosing his words a little more carefully around his replica. Anger hadn't been bubbling, either. This would be called nice, however it did not feel right.

. . .though, dare he say, there was a little twitch of jealousy rising, what with the other's constant talk of some blue-haired creep at the bar. The ex-God General didn't exactly care for someone harassing Luke, but then Luke didn't seem to mind. "Sure, he's a little weird. . .and he sounds like Dist, but he's not so bad after a while," he'd say.

Tapping his foot while he waited, Fox looked out at the street aimlessly. It was really coming down. He was thankful for the sort of awning that extended far enough to keep anyone on the steps dry. Not that it did him all that much good, seeing how anything that could get wet around his coat already was. Oh yes, he would be buying an umbrella some time in the near future.

The door swung open and Fox received very much the greeting he was expecting.

He smirked. "Good to see you too."

The fox had thought of a thousand things to say, but not a single one of them would come to mind now. Just as well, it wasn't like he wanted to talk out here anyways. Shifting to try and keep the suitcase from view, he put on a pleasant look. Meanwhile, mentally guessing the odds of whether his partner would let him inside or leave him out in the rain.

For a moment, the company would only receive a blank stare. This wasn't the first time Fox managed to find his way onto Asch's doorstep. However, this was the first time he wasn't bleeding all over the place. It was a well-known fact that his on-and-off work-partner hated this world, thus never really came to see him on casual terms.

Shaking his head to clear his senses, the red-head pushed the door open further and gestured an invite to come and get out of the rain---even though it seemed like Fox had been wandering for hours, what with his coat dripping.

". .What are you doing here?"

Really, would it kill the guy to just say hi?

Accepting his partner's invitation, fox stepped through the door and started shedding his coat. An act that required him to set his suitcase down, of course. Asch would have to be blind not to notice it. He wouldn't be happy, Fox was sure, but that didn't seem quite so imposing now that he'd made it past this hurdle.

Letting the coat hang from one hand by the collar, he shrugged, "Well, since we seem to be in the practice of showing up at each others houses unexpectedly, I just figured it was my turn." He glanced over the room, "Hey, is your brother around?"

A strange look would be given at the company when he asked if it were far. If a whole different planet wasn't far, then the red-head didn't know what was. After some time and a little force, though, they would leave The World That Never Was and head for Twilight Town.

Asch seemed to never tire of the glow this other world gave off. It seemed to cool and collected and light-hearted compared to his adopted home. He could see why Tifa set up her bar here. Too bad he didn't see Twilight Town first.

Much to their luck -- mostly Asch's -- the diner wasn't slammed. There were a few ladies outside gossiping over tea. On the inside, there was hardly a handful of people.

"Decent place, don't you think?" he'd ask, once they were seated.

Fox always liked this world. Things were so..pleasant here. And dry. Very dry. He'd never seen or heard of the place in question, but then he hadn't been to Twilight Town in a while. It was probably fairly new.

At the sound of Asch's voice, he looked up from his menu, "Hm? Oh. Yeah, it's nice." While there was nothing close to this back in Agrabah, Fox got to travel often through his work and didn't skimp on the dining.

Nice though it was, it seemed a bit out of the way. Fox rarely ever left his own world for anything other than work, so just going out to eat seemed a little silly. He wondered if Asch did this often. Now that he thought about it, hadn't the other come to Agrabah once just to buy tomato juice? The thought made him grin a little.

It wasn't a very busy night at the 7th Heaven, but enough business to keep Tifa from looking or worried and to keep Luke from getting bored. At the moment he was waiting patiently by the bar for some drink orders. 'These are for table 2. Table 8 is about ready for the check. 12 is still decidi-'

"Luke. Table 5." Tifa said cheerfully as she set the drinks on his tray.

The softly clanked when he picked up the tray and she gave a worried glance making Luke glare down at them as if daring one of them to even think of falling over. "I got it, alright?" He muttered testily as he walked away.

"I didn't say a thing." She chuckled before disappearing into the kitchen.

Shortly after taking care of his other tables the replica put on the usual friendly air for greeting customers before making his way to table five only to spot a similar but far less friendly face under a sea of crimson hair and a pair of unforgettable furry ears. 'Asch and Fox?' The boy walked up behind Fox's seat and paused when one of the twitching ears caught his sight ( ... )

Fox's comment was almost missed, but replied with with a faint smile. Rich orbs were more occupied with looking for the replica. He usually found it funny whenever he stopped by, for Luke always seemed to work harder. It was pleasing and a little cute.

It would not be long until his desired company made his appearance -- and just like a child amused by silver, Luke greeted them by grabbing one of Fox's fuzzy ears. This made Asch stiffen at first, but he did nothing.

Then, the question that followed brought on a blink. "What are you talking about?"
