After the shooting today in France, I read an interesting post about the quality of the images being put forth by the editors. Basically it was racist shlock. Against everyone. Crap cartoons. Not the kind of humorous editorial stuff you may see that still gets people shot, but ugly stuff. And yet, as ugly as they may be.. who the hell shoots

Yeah, this. I have several cartoonist friends and they are really broken up, not because those cartoons were any good, but because who kills a cartoonist over their art? It's not exactly like being a foreign journalisst where a degree of risk is understood ...
