Anthony Minghella died two days ago at the age of 54. He was a writer director who's credits included Cold Mountain, The Tallented Mr. Ripley, and the Oscar winning The English Patient. But my personal favorite of his (and I loved all the afore mentioned movies) is Truly, Madly, Deeply, a romantic ghost story starring Alan Rickman. The movie was ( Read more... )

Too bad about the writer guy. All those movies were well received, though I did not see them b/c Hubs dislikes most movies devoid of gratuitous violence and idiocy.

The civilize world is coming to an end as we know it. Hooray that the casino plan is going down the tubes. Can you imagine all those people trying to make up for the recession by gambline? I'll go back to my hobbit cave and make compost, save plastic bags and seal my windows with duct tape in the hopes that it will save me from radiation poisoning. Good night!
