I'm insane and my birds are too. And their pet grass.
I've been meaning to write this post for a while now, but given how busy I've been, I'm just now getting around to it. I've been busy so consistently for so long that it's gone from being pleasant productivity to a distraction from working on writing papers on my thesis work and reading them for my dissertation. Last evening sucked because of difficulties with various electronics. Last night sucked even more because of an intense, lucid nightmare. We're a week into the new year already. In that time I've read a novel, hand-sewed my first tunic (and first project by myself), found our officiant, and started P90X (and hit a stride in it), among various TV show season watchings and video game playings. I think this is going to be a good year. -
Of the SCA and marriage
School has been a bit stressful of late (mostly genetics), but otherwise life has been good. I haven’t been sleeping well but I’ll at least get to this week. Probably has something to do with the raccoons in the attic running around and scratching early in the morning…

I'm...restless...again. I was ready for classes to be over with almost a month ago when we had the last round of exams. No matter how much work I put into genetics, I still feel behind. I'm just glad I didn't want to be a geneticist. Biostats grows more and more aggravating. he's picked up the pace a bit, but he's already wasted my semester. I ( Read more... ) -

It struck me last night just how very much I have going on right now. Let's assume I start working at 8:30 am and go until 9:30 pm with 2 hours devoted to bodily functions like eating and 1 taken up by traveling between places. That's 70 hours a week in which to Do Stuff.
Biostats: 5 hours
Genetics: 6 hours
Morphometrics: 5 hours
Geo seminar: 1.5 hour
