One year ago I said "I do" to the most amazing and beautiful woman I've ever known. Happy anniversary to my wife, my best friend and the mother of our awesome daughter. This will just be the first of many wonderful years being married, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Popsicle.

I'm very thankful for my wife. I think it is a very rare thing to find someone who you can have argument with and come out of it a better person than you went in. Even when she's upset with something I've done, she's always reasonably calm and is damned good at pointing out stupid things I've done without making me feel like too much of a douche ( Read more... )

My daughter decided to make a very happy father last night. She decided to take a break from the constant kicking of her mother's bladder and swung around to take a few shots pointed outward.

So I got to feel my daughter for the first time last night. This is awesome.

We're going to have a daughter.

The anatomy scan ultrasound was this morning. Everything is perfect, healthy and feminine. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go squee and try not to get it on my coworkers.

It's Valentine's Day. Also, I have the most wonderful valentine in the universe. My wife is beautiful, funny, smart, sexy, thoughtful and in every way as perfect a partner to go through life with as I could dream of. I went to my first gynecological exam this week. Also, I have now seen a wiggly little fetus I helped to make and have heard it's heartbeat. Twice.

Beat that.

I am in awe of the fact that my incredibly wonderful wife is in the process of making a complete human being in her own body. Wow.
