Try not to stress too much - yes pneumonia is horrible - the hospital will give her lots of antibiotics and keep an eye on her and they also have oxygen if she is finding it too hard to breathe. My 75 year old aunt who is having slow heart failure came through it last year - I'm sure your neice will be fine in a few weeks. Its just the next few weeks that will be difficult and upsetting for her especially as she is so young! But remember this - kids bounce back really well!

Ps - my brother is a doctor does that count?

Pneumonia

I went to the hospital twice when I was 2 and 5 years old because of Pneumonia. I had asthma that triggered the attack. My mom was worried sick about me and she'd get off work and sleep beside my bed in the hospital till I got better. That's why my mom was always overprotective and would tell me to change my shirt so that my back wouldn't get wet causing chills that could set it off
