Oh, oh! Jada totally got me hooked on Meg/Weevil and no one's written any for ages and then she asked and you delivered for her santa gift and I got to benefit!! I love when that happens! I really liked this story -- Meg's ability to see through Weevil's initial flirting and, of course, the way Veronica knocked some sense into Weevil at the end were both totally easy to see. Thanks for the fun fic!

The only other Meg/Weevil I've read was Jada's, which is one of the reasons I hadn't written this idea yet, but since she asked for it, I figured it was a sign!

P.S. The eyelashes thing came from an interview I saw a long time ago where Jason and Ryan and the rest of the guys were giving Francis crap about his long eyelashes because women were gushing over them all the time. :)

The flirty eyes are killer, but yes, probably reason to get ribbing from the guys, huh? I'm guessing it works well enough for him that he doesn't care.

Thanks! I just realized it's the first time I've written Weevil (except for a teeny, tiny part in a LoVe fic) and I think it's the first time I've written Meg too! Good thing that didn't occur to me earlier...

Holy freaking cow! I am like totally...just...speechless with insane giddness and delight!!!!!!! NOT ONLY are YOU the one giving me my Secret Santa present, but it's freaking MEG/WEEVIL and on top of all of that it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so a few less exclamations and some details. *clears throat* *and laughs at self*

- I love, love, love Pride and Prejudice. It's one of only two classic novels that I adore with such intensity (the other being To Kill a Mockingbird.) Seriously, I love the conversations they have about it, I love the title, and I love the correlation between the gossip and the couple to modern day. Just...perfect.

Yay! I'm glad you liked it! I was very excited to get assigned your wish list. :) I'd had a kernel of an idea for a Meg/Weevil fic (more on that in a moment) but I wasn't sure if it was too "out there"--but then I saw that throwaway comment in your wish list and saw the opportunity to go for it.

And I'm glad you're a fan of P&P--that wasn't part of my original idea, but I needed a book for them to talk about, and then the whole gossip angle sort of fell into place. (Plus, there's a Lizzie in both!)

One of the challenges running right now at vmfic_gameon is to give Weevil a love interest (finally). That's what sort of put the idea in my head a while back--would you mind if I entered this in the challenge?

Thanks! I'm glad you liked Felix, because I had fun writing him. I invented a whole backstory where he actually has both parents and a good home life, which is one of the reasons Weevil likes hanging around with him.
