OH, MY GOODNESS!!!!!!

Holy freaking cow! I am like totally...just...speechless with insane giddness and delight!!!!!!! NOT ONLY are YOU the one giving me my Secret Santa present, but it's freaking MEG/WEEVIL and on top of all of that it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I believe that you can tell that I like it. Hee! That may be a bit of an understatement, actually. I FREAKING LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

I cannot even BELIEVE that YOU wrote an AWESOME fic about MEG/WEEVIL!!!! Seriously - we're talking Christmas morning all over again!!!!!

Okay, so a few less exclamations and some details. *clears throat* *and laughs at self*

- I love, love, love Pride and Prejudice. It's one of only two classic novels that I adore with such intensity (the other being To Kill a Mockingbird.) Seriously, I love the conversations they have about it, I love the title, and I love the correlation between the gossip and the couple to modern day. Just...perfect.

- Meg called him on his eyelash batting! HA!!

- He hadn’t bargained on the fact that she wouldn’t be intimidated by him either way. LOVE it!

- That last kiss was SMOKIN'!

- It was totally in character and could absolutely happen that way. *sigh* I love Meg/Weevil. *huge grin*

- Veronica called him on the carpet. Again - HA!!

- I love where it falls in the series - that would add SUCH a fun dimension!

- I love how it ended, and on a very serious note, were you ever motivated to write a sequel, I would be SO incredibly ALL OVER THAT! How do people not get the beauty of Meg/Weevil?!

- You are absolutely correct (as I mentioned in my request) that I absolutely did not think I had a chance of getting something like this. But wow, am I tickled/pleased/ecstatic beyond the TELLING of it. But really - they were going off to face the judgmental hordes of high school hand-in-hand. That's exactly how it should be. And I love it. :-)

Seriously - you totally rock my world!!!

Yay! I'm glad you liked it! I was very excited to get assigned your wish list. :) I'd had a kernel of an idea for a Meg/Weevil fic (more on that in a moment) but I wasn't sure if it was too "out there"--but then I saw that throwaway comment in your wish list and saw the opportunity to go for it.

And I'm glad you're a fan of P&P--that wasn't part of my original idea, but I needed a book for them to talk about, and then the whole gossip angle sort of fell into place. (Plus, there's a Lizzie in both!)

One of the challenges running right now at vmfic_gameon is to give Weevil a love interest (finally). That's what sort of put the idea in my head a while back--would you mind if I entered this in the challenge?
