When I was a kid, my best friend's mom had a rule that you had to make the bed unless there was a cat on it. Sometimes my friend would go *get* a cat just to avoid making her bed. Alas, my mother had no such rule. I envied my friend. :-)

That's what I would have done too. Were her parents soft-hearted or not very good at dealing with rules lawyers? :-)

Cats ruled in that house. Her mother was not soft-hearted about much, except the cats. Though she wasn't a crazy cat lady - I don't think they ever had more than four or five, at least of the *indoor* cats. This was out in the country, so who knows how many outdoor cats they had.

Baldur and Embla are happy to be lumps on top of the covers, but Erik is the only one who tends to burrow. (Baldur did when he was younger; I don't know what changed.)

Usually he completely submerges, so when I saw the end of the tail sticking out I just had to capture it. :-)
