Hraefna, an accomplished scribe, was to become apprenticed to Master Broom, a Laurel. Her persona is Viking-age Icelandic

I know someone (female) who's from Iceland and whose first name is spelled Hrefna, although it's pronounced [rEbna](E = epsilon) - silent "h", [b] instead of [f]. Does your Hraefna pronounce her name as written?

She pronounces the f as an f (not a b), but otherwise, that's right. Other people pronounce the h but I don't think she does.

I did see the light and the gas station/mcdonalds as good improvements to the area. That left turn really was difficult to make, and noticing the light was great, but I almost ran the next light right near the gas complex. yikes. gotta slow down a bit next time. What event is she to be elevated at?

Nope. That was the original plan, but her grandfather's memorial service is that day in North Carolina. Negotiations with the royalty are ongoing. Stay tuned for updates.

Oh, and she actually spells her name "Hrefna" not "Hraefna."

Ellisif wore the blue apron-dress you made, actually, over a tan linen tunic (with gentle stripes in a darker brown), a suitable entourage of beads, and reglia (necklace and square cloak from my elevation, plus a cap made from a small piece of the machine-embroidered laurel fabric that I just couldn't pass up at Pennsic one year).

I am very happy for Hraefna. I met her during the short while when she was living here, and an very glad that she has done so well.

Dagonell and Cigfran did not make it to War Practice. :( Due to the fact that I was working second-shift on Friday, it would have been a daytrip and the added dis-incentive of the rain pretty much made us decide to stay home.

Give my best to Hraefna. Her February Viking events were some of the best events I've ever been to!
