♥ ♥ ♥
I've never had a furry companion to call my own (my parents decided to gift me with a little brother instead), but the love and affection you've managed to convey here is absolutely lovely.
It's very easy to tell she was well loved and adored. *hugs*

Pffft, little brother, nothing. You need a furkid! Everyone needs a furkid.

I thought I was done crying, but I cried writing that last part because it's based fairly closely on what actually happened on Monday. ;_; The vet really was so very nice, and loved on Rat the whole time, and if I ever have another cat, I'm definitely taking it to that place and no where else.

(GUH, yesterday, we even received a sympathy card in the mail from them, with cats on it. X.x)

WEEPING

SO BEAUTIFUL ;_;

This is really lovely. I totally, totally understand (I love the age thing, it's clever :D) Now excuse me, I have to locate and hug the hell out of my puppy.

*whispers* also um you have in there "levels of pain he never new existed" do you mean "never knew existed"?

;_; Yes, please do go hug the hell out of your puppy. I guess I wasn't thinking about writing this for any reason other than I needed to, but if it makes everyone go hug their pets, then that's awesome too.

(As for the age thing, mostly I wanted a way for the reader to be able to track the years and understand how many of them this little family shared... and I even forgot to write a scene I'd originally planned on writing. X.x)

Yes I did, and it's fixed, thank you. :)

Kleenex in aisle three.

*regains composure* This was a beautifully accurate description of pet ownership.

I'll be Rat's up there scaring the crap out of my old dog, Snoop. Cats terrified him more than almost anything!

*hugglesquish*

::hands over a box of Kleenex and keeps one of herself:: ;_;

I miss my kitty.

Probably. :D Before she got too old, scaring the crap out of dogs was one of Rat's favorite pasttimes.

::squishes back::

Now that this is done, I can return to "The Life Cycle of the Idea." :D

Cats are fully awesome, yes indeed. If you have any, go cuddle them right this second.

This is heartbreaking and lovely. I'm weeping, as the owner of three adult cats I dread the day they leave me and I can understand your pain. Your story is a great tribute to your companion, and your love for your cat shone thought all of it. I really don't know you, but as a fellow cat lover I send you all my love on this hard moments.

::HUGS:: If you haven't already, go hug your three darlings until they tire of it and bite you to make you stop. :)

Thank you for your warm thoughts.
