Mmmm...I will definitely try this. I have all the ingredients on hand and will substitute Splenda brown sugar and serve it over brown rice. Perfect!

Do they still sell ground turkey?
I know it tastes like cardboard,
but if you mix it evenly with ground beef (or ground pork)
it soaks up the flavour of the other meat.
For that matter, ground pork tastes a bazillion times better than ground beef.

Ground turkey is still available around here. I really don't like ground turkey or chicken, though I otherwise love eating poultry.

I imagine this would work well with any ground meat, or a combination.
