Goals 2014

Jan 01, 2014 06:00

Bready or Not will post on Friday the 3rd.

Things have changed. I mean, holy cow, I have a two-book deal with HarperCollins Voyager. I have a contract. The stuff I've emphasized in the past--short stories and poetry--isn't as much of a priority now, though I'll keep up with them if I can.

Here are my goals for 2014:

1) Complete Clockwork Dagger ( Read more... )

If tired of climbing, use dynamite.

Sounds like you intend to have a blast.

7) Continue to participate in 50book challenge, LibraryThing, and Goodreads, reading at least 50 books during 2012 and posting reviews for all.

You may have a bit of a challenge with this one... ^_~

On the contrary, I already pronounce that goal to be a total win!

Actually, what's really funny is that I copied this over from last year, which means that was also a year off and I never caught it. :D

Pfft not like proofreading is important in my job or anything...

Read 50 books on top of all that writing? Sheesh! I am impressed.

The goal in my head is really 75, but 50 books is more realistic.

I'm liking the dynamite idea... for the past two years I've done 50 goals of 50 items each, aiming for 50% success... this year I have 100 goals of 100 items each, still only aiming for 50%, though. My reading and writing has completely fallen off in favor of crafting, I need to get back to that.

That's an interesting way to break down the goals. As for me, I'd like to squeeze in more scrapbooking time. That has really fallen by the wayside this past year.
