The semester is over. We're working on renewing our adoption home study again (sigh); trying to obtain all necessary paperwork and schedule the home visit. We're meeting with our kitchen person next Monday for measurements and planning tweaks (after which we'll presumably have to pack up everything asap before demolition starts). I realized that I'd never written the last couple of drabbles/ficlets requested when I asked for prompts last September *coughs apologetically*. Have now managed to do so. That is to say, a day off work, not a weekend day, where I could catch up on things and/or just vegetate. (Maybe I need TWO days?) I'll be taking some days off this summer, but they will all involve traveling/seeing people, which is good in its own way but not precisely relaxing ( Read more... )

So we're starting to gear up for our big remodeling project; we now have a scheduled start date of May 16. We've picked out kitchen appliances, whee! I am continuously grateful to my late great-aunt whose bequest is allowing us to do this without constantly going, "Can we really afford that?"
