Not that I can point to anything really bad - the worst thing that's happened today is that I've been unable to connect to an online meeting, despite repeated attempts using different browsers - but today's just been an emotional struggle. Wah.

Getting woken up in the middle of the night, and then working for a couple of hours, will do that. I am definitely Not Young anymore, that's for sure. Being several hours short on sleep means that I Hurt All Over, especially in the legs ( Read more... )

Currently on 15-minute dinner break. Today's major (scheduled) events: student eval, desk shift, lunch, two more student evals, training session, double desk shift. A few minutes here and there to check email and do a few minor work chores, but I've now been here for 11.75 hours, 1.5 hours to go. Booyeh.

It's almost 6, and I am just about to leave work. Between having to do payroll, having to prep stuff for student evals starting Monday, and having training first thing Monday, it has just been a super-long day (and I am going to be taking some evals stuff home to do there over the weekend). It's now 5:45 Friday afternoon and I'm still at work (though just about to leave). Interviewed and hired 2 new student assistants today, and have gotten them into our checkout system.
