I'm going to see how it goes. I don't actually have to count calories or anything with this, so that's a plus.

Yeah, but you have to track points with WW, right? Thanks!

I did South Beach once. I spent 2 weeks on the couch with a massive headache and no energy until I hit phase 2 and could add back in some carbs. Oh, and I didn't drop any weight in those 2 weeks, so my interest in continuing after that was limited. I wish you better luck!

I've had my best success with Lose It! I need to do that again... But I think I'll wait until after the holidays!

Well, part of the reason to kill the carbs is to try to push down my triglycerides. Losing weight is desirable too of course, but it's the sugar levels that my doctor is most concerned about. We'll see... this is the very first time in my life I've actually tried a diet plan. Pretty amazing.

You are so mindful about cooking and eating, the change of diet should go swimmingly for you. Go you!

So do they have you taper off the carbs? I found when I dropped my carb intake all at once that I felt miserable for a week. (Then I felt fine again.) If I had it to do over again, I perhaps would have eased my way down and been content with a "slow start". But perhaps my bad response was just a blood sugar thing, as I was doing it because of the diabetes?

(Keep meaning to say-- Tegan gave her seal of approval to the Sesame Seed and almond flour crackers. I dropped on the other day by accident, and after polishing it off, she stood up to see if she could tell if there were more on the cabinet-- an unusual amount of interest.)

Yeah - the blood sugar is part of the reason I'm doing this actually, my triglyceride count is very high. So I am having some of that response, but if it helps in the long run it should be worth it.

Not surprised that Tegan likes the sesame-almond crackers, they're yummy! I'm going to make some for our holiday party the weekend after next; it'll be something I can eat, for one thing. ;-)

I have a nice pumpkin pie recipe that's low carb if you'd like it.

Sure thing. I won't be making pie for this party, but it would be good to have such a recipe!
