Hey, I'm posting the CSA almost on time this week! We got: salad greens, ~3 lb. peaches, 1 head garlic, 5 small onions, 2 small purple kohlrabi, 1 small broccoflower (I think that's what it must be, anyhow), 2 small cukes, 2 bunches radishes (which I gave to our neighbors), and 8 baby carrots.

I'm astounded you have peaches already; we won't likely see local fresh peaches for another 5 or 6 weeks. The cobbler recipe sounds yummy; I have one which uses oats in the crumble topping and is pretty flexible, as well.

Will cannot stand peaches, nectarines or anything of that ilk; it's frustrating because the girls and I like peaches (although Two fluctuates, because she's not a big fruit fan) and there's no point on stocking up on fresh yummies because they go bad too quickly - but it's hard to easily come by tasty peaches in smaller quantities (we can pick our own, about 25 mins away, or get a local orchard's much closer but by the peck or half-bushel, but I have a hard time getting to the weekday farmers' markets with any regularity). It's a lot easier once we get into apple season in the fall.

I have a crisp recipe (crumbly oat topping) which is equally flexible - I usually use it for apples, occasionally pears - but SO requested cobbler this time so I searched one out. Generally I don't do much with berries except rinse and serve...

Oddly enough I really like apricots (if they're good, or even mediocre), although I'm decidedly neutral about both peaches and nectarines. Taste is a funny thing.
