Thanks for the weather update; I always wonder about you and ali during these times.
We are still having freaking snow fall in the hills not far above us. It's weird but I prefer it to your heat.
Good to know your neighbor has a basement; we had a full storm cellar (sp?) when living in Ohio, and used it a few times as I recall.

Thanks! And yeesh that you're still getting snow. I know my mom to the north of you in Big Valley is getting tired of all the precip there; she's had trouble being able to weed her garden, it's so soggy.

I'd rather have snow than heat myself, but sadly no one has put me in charge of the weather! ;-)

Yep, there are sirens scattered all over the city/county. They are tested every Saturday at noon. I would imagine that where you are going there will be a similar setup; it's populated enough that there are almost sure to be sirens although the time and frequency of tests may well be different

Yep! They're very nice. In the event all the really bad stuff missed us Saturday night/Sunday morning; some thunderstorming that Juno objected to, but no tornadoes near us.
