Well, hell. *hugs* Never any cooperation, is there?

Congrats on taxes and the potential for a shower! :)

Almost makes me want to become a cyborg, y'know?

Thanks!

Sorry you weren't able to get the IUD. Hopefully the low dose pill will not affect you adversely.

It is amazing how long it takes to do taxes. Next year - I'm doing my own, or finding a cheaper place. Never fall for a cute guy wearing a Statue of Liberty hat, with a bright smile and nice legs.

LOL - I have never paid a human being to do my taxes, but I do buy tax software, which makes things MUCH easier. I can always consult my sister or my aunt if I need tax advice as they are both accountants.

Heh, probably more than it would cost you to buy the software yourself! ;-)

SO glad I don't have to do a tax return. And bleh for bodily non-cooperation. But hurrah for shower! (I hate those have-to-sit-in-the-bath efforts too - I do love a good soak in the tub but I get those once in a blue moon.)

Interesting that your current boss could potentially promote from within; here, it's normally policy for all vacancies to be advertised both internally and externally and for there to be open competition. Exception is if we have staff being made redundant, who can then be redeployed, but even then they have to meet all the essential criteria and they have to be interviewed and satisfy the panel that they can do the job competently...

Well, I just checked and the job is actually listed on the uni's main HR page, just not on our library website where I would normally also expect to see it (don't know why not). Any internal promotion would also go through the same general process of interview, but someone already here might well have an edge, you know? This is really a job that only requires a BA degree, although it does also require a couple years' experience in a library and several years as a manager (not necessarily in a library for that), so... yeah. Internal people might be more likely to have the library experience at least.
