I was offline for about 26 hours - and over a Friday night and Saturday for chrissakes - and I had to skip=90 on the LJ flist. Sheesh. Could not possibly comment on everything I would like to, but {{hugs}} to those who need it for various woes.

No, we shouldn't - this should all last as long as we own the house and then some! (Our approach basically is Do It Right, as opposed to Do It Cheap.)

Watched the rest of Wrath of Khan AND all of The Search for Spock in the end. *g* And ate cake!

Holy shit! That kind of repair bill would sink us. We have the plumber coming today to look at some things. Now I am *very* nervous.

We've saved some (although mostly we were hoping for that to be a cushion in case I don't find a library job right away) and should also have some tax refund this year. So it's going to hurt, big time, but thankfully we can handle it.

Hope yours is something simple and cheap to fix!
