There is a gorgeous ginger cat called Sebastian (Sebby), who lives (or so I thought) next door to Ricks. He is always friendly and welcoming whenever I pass by him.

Recently I have seen him about a lot more often. He is always outside not matter what the weather. On chatting with the neighbour last night I discovered that he is not 'really' hers. ( Read more... )

friend of mine Kiri has an old guinea pig hutch in her garden that probably isn't wanted. Shall I ask?

I asked and the response was "please take it away!"

Thanks for that. For now the neighbour appears to have relented but I might just have it casually in the garden just in case. Sebby might enjoy the whiff of guinea pig.

If it is in the garden he will always have a hidey hole to escape into in case of rain, snow or a cold day whilst neighbour is out. Cat's love a good bolt hole, neighbourhood cats threw a right strop when we lost Jasper and access to treats and blanketed cover in the garden was removed,- next door has a cat flap into his shed so cover is still available but I get less crap in my grass.

I have a big old beautiful Siamese like that. He lives on my deck and won't let me get close, but once the weather got back, he would peer in the window longingly. I ended putting a cat bed inside a big box and then wrapping some blankets around the box. He seems pretty happy with the arrangement.

Just a thought - I know there was a ginger cat missing around the Lower Walkley area a while back. It might be worth asking the local vets if they could scan him for a chip if you can catch him.

Good thinking, catching him should not be a problem. He may not let me do it twice though!
