OMG I heard about Leisel in my Biomechanics lecture, he got an update on his phone and he was really upset. I haven't seen it on TV yet but yeah, how disappointing! I wish we could go back to the 2000 Olympics when we had the 'dream team' on both track and in the pool. :(

Oh, man, it was heart wrenching. You could see her smile on the dais but it just didn't feel right. Then there are rumours that Grant's not feeling well, which is just perfect. *rolls eyes* Seriously, I'm relying on Eamon winning the 50m tomorrow, so badly. I need some new hope.
If only Tina and Steve were writing the movie, too! That would be epic. But alas.
My heart broke for Leisel. It's so sad because you could tell she was upset and she tried so hard not to show it. I was so excited when she was winning and then the American (i think?) came first place - then the collapse. Poor thing. There is so much pressure on our swimmers. And Libby Trickett - she is a such a gem, she was wonderful and I think she was genuinely happy that she got silver. But Lesiel :( Anyways we will continue to soldier on.
She was so gallant about it! But yeah, there is so much pressure and I feel bad about doing it myself. They're only human. But, like, when Jess Schipper won bronze I'm like, "I should be thrilled, she's won two bronze medals!" but my head was like, "Damn, why is she only winning bronze?" I need to let it go. :P Libby's is more frustrating than upsetting because she only lost by 0.04 of a second - plus the fact that she didn't even technically qualify, so silver's pretty good. But I love her, so it's all good.
