What's weirder is that in this week's New Idea/NW/whatever it was, there was a picture of them on the 27th, looking all smiley and hand-holding. Now they're divorced. Seriously, WTF.
Oh, they were always going to go to Sydney - that's a given - but I don't get why they can go to Perth and not us. Like, financially speaking (and that's all that matters, right?) we'd rake in more money than Perth. Argh.
Yay! Lake House! Hehehe, I missed out on that flailing last night but heee!
We went to the Daley Plaza too but it looked completely different cuz there was a giant Christmas tree and like little stalls aroundd the place. But yaaay for Chicago being RPF capital of the WORLD.
- Hearing about DJ and NI was so sad. They seemed like one of those couples that could go the distance, but apparently not. - LOL why does Michael Vartan want to move to Australia? - We're only the music capital of Australia okay, maybe tied with Brisbane - oh, no you don't! Brisbane may be a hole compared to Melbourne and Sydney, we may not have nice shops, we may not be all that touristy, but I am not willing to share the music capital title. That's oooours, biatch. *snatches it* But seriously, that is really odd that they didn't think to include Melbourne on the list. NOW YOU KNOW HOW WE FEEL ahaha. - I want to see Australia noooow.
Hearing about DJ and NI was so sad. They seemed like one of those couples that could go the distance, but apparently not. I know! What's weirder was that in one of this week's trashy mags there was a pap pic of them on the 27th, holding hands and smiling and all as they went out for dinner. That was, like, ten days ago. WTF happened between then and now, I ask?
That's oooours, biatch. Heh. I vaguely remember reading an article about it, actually, and I think the consensus was that Brisband was for rock, Melbourne for jazz. Oh, whatever. Sydney isn't, and that's what's important! Truce? ;)

Serious? Whooa, that's insane. And they've been married for four years, but they'd been dating for heaps longer, hadn't they? Or am I getting them mixed up?
That Michael Vartan interview was really cute! Aww, he wants to settle down with an Aussie girl hehehe. Siigh.

Ooh, I'd love to read that article, but I assume it was a while ago? I'm a music nerd, if you couldn't tell ahaha. People made a big deal last year (maybe we're talking about the same thing?) about Brisbane being one of the five cities in the world, chosen by Billboard magazine, to watch for new and innovative sounds etc. I remember being really excited about that article, because in first semester of 2007 I did a Music Subculture course and my final essay had been on the

And they've been married for four years, but they'd been dating for heaps longer, hadn't they? Yeah, they've been together since 1999. THAT'S ALMOST A DECADE, PEOPLE. DON'T GIVE UP NOW. Although they said the reason for their divorce was "indifference" rather than actual, y'know, loathing, so... I dunno. "Hate isn't the opposite to love. It's indifference." Maybe that applies here. My God, I'm being all philosophical now. *headdesk*
Ooh, I'd love to read that article, but I assume it was a while ago? I was trying to remember before so I could actually quote something, LOL, but I can't remember where it was from. Could have been from the newspaper, could've been for uni... meh. Sorry. But yeah, it agrees with what you're saying - Brisbane emerging with all these acts and stuff. I think the Melbourne side of things is more of a historical thing, or maybe just in relation to Sydney - like as far as live music venues go or something. But that sounds like an awesome assignment of yours

yeah, why wouldn't they go to Melbourne? They're going to Perth and not Melbourne, isn't that just a little odd. they'd certainly sell more tickets in Melbourne.
I stole the meme. except I've added 100 books to it.
they'd certainly sell more tickets in Melbourne. Yeah, exactly. In hindsight I sounded really whiny about it, but I meant to say that it just doesn't make sense, from a business and financial point of view. Sigh. Maybe it was a typo. ;) I wish they could go to Adelaide and Tassie too! Then everyone would be happy.
I was wondering if I should do the book one, but then I know I'm not going to read 100 books. I'll barely make 15. So... yeah.
Uh, short books? Like, read the entire series of Mr Men books!
Nah, but I mean, why should some places have to miss out? Not just the Spice Girls, but for other things too. I'm all up on my high horse because I'm used to major acts always coming here - but how about you guys, too? One of my friends in Launceston was thrilled when the Australian Idol tour actually bothered to stop in Tasmania for once.
