16.That's how many days it has taken for me to a) catch up on LJ and b) actually try to post something. A few days ago I was pulling my hair out going, "I literally think I have to give up on that site now, I just can't do it consistently anymore and I'm letting it down". But I'll persist ( Read more... )

I though you had abandoned us!

Sandy's awards thingy have been consuming my time and feeding my escape from work. It's just amazing and she looks awesome. I understand "The Blind Side" will open over there in Feb right? In my country too!

Anyway good to know you've been doing well and happy!

Abandoned? Never! Just... temporarily disappeared, lol. ;)

I'm so proud of Sandy getting her awards! Finally she's being recognised for drama, and not just comedy. I've loved her dresses! And I can't remember when "The Blind Side" is opening here, but I've seen the trailer in the cinemas, so I think it's soon. I'm glad it's opening for you too! :D

Thanks, and how are you? Not working too much, I hope?

I think it'll be Feb 25 or something. In Japan Feb 27, and I remember the dates are very close. Feb 2 is the big day; Oscar nomination! I don't know if you know but one of her puppies has been missing since last Monday, and I feel really sorry for her (and JJ).

I've been doing good thanks, working hard, procrastinating hard lol!

Oh no! I hadn't read that about Sandy's dog... that's terrible!

I think there needs to be a good balance in life: work and procrastination! It's only healthy. ;)

I heard that people at Sundance are saying it's pretty good.

I've heard it's kind of ridiculous, but in a Mamma Mia sort of way. Which is all good by me, hee.

I am really going to miss my bookshelves and books and ornaments and STUFF because I can't take all of that stuff with me. And I'm just so used to all my things being there and to have to pack up everything into one and a half suitcases and a backpack? Argh. xD

My Australia Day was beautiful. One of my best friends is over from France and that evening she and another friend of mine went to Albert Park Lake to walk around it, and we saw the city fireworks and they just looked magnificent. :D

DUDE, I've just realised I'd never added you as a friend? WTF, I don't know how or when this happened but am fixing now in haste!

I'm so glad you had a great day! I've never seen the city fireworks other than for NY's... shame on me, really.

LOL, that's hilarious! At least I could still see this! The fireworks were gorgeous and so unexpected - we totally forgot there'd BE fireworks so when they first began we were all "omg!!! Why are there... oh, right. Australia Day."

LOL, we had a similar thing with something else... I think there were some planes? Yeah, that's right! And we were like, "Huh?" until we remembered. Dope!

I can't imagine moving that much! (True but not very interesting fact: I have stayed in the same house for 17 years and counting.)

A Federer fan through and through but I felt for Murray. Cannot imagine the pressure and press he has to face at every slam. Hope he becomes more aggressive like in the 3rd set. I think I choked on my saliva a couple of times during that one. Tie-break of torture.

Everybody was super adorable at that special. It is really amazing to see people in such an individualistic sport come together to bond. (ROLAND GARROS IS TOO FAR.)

There are a few new awesome comedies which I had to drop when school started. Not 30 rock though..

IT'S COMPLICATED WAS AMAZING. It had its flaws and Nancy Meyers is a perfectionist but also brilliant for getting those actors.

Always great to see your posts :)

Before this I hadn't moved since 2001, and that was the only time, so moving is definitely not in my nature. I am a creature of habit and comfort zones!

Yeah, definitely good on Roger! I mean, he's just not human - in the best possible way. No one can surpass him. ;) And how he organised the charity hit was remarkable. Props to him, for sure!

WOULD YOU EVER CONSIDER DROPPING 30 ROCK? PFFT. I DON'T THINK SO.

I kind of hate Nancy Meyers for making every house and garden she has look PERFECT. REAL PEOPLE DON'T LIVE IN HOUSES LIKE THAT. Grargh.
