Jacob decided at Outlandish to go to Highlands (Zippy and Sean had something to do with that).  So, last summer, my friend Shultz showed me this amazing thing on YouTube called the "Virtual Choir". This conductor had collected video's of people all singing their own parts of this song and he edited them all together into a choral performance. It was AWESOME. Why is it so much work getting ready for a vacation?

My parents are coming to visit tomorrow and they are going to watch the kids while Jacob and I go to Outlandish. So, much as I enjoy the theory of being a housewife, I am really sick of Cora. And vice versa. She is such an awesome kid, but she really is turning out to be my mini-me and as such, we fight a lot.  Two days ago, Cora was only interested in the mad, scribble style of drawing. Oh, sure. She could draw something vaguely circluar when prodded. But mostly she just wanted to take that marker in her fist and attack a surface. Then yesterday she produced the following "fairy":

So, last week was my 5 year anniversary. We managed to have a nice-ish dinner out despite the kids. Jacob has spent the last two weekends making me two 4 x 8 foot raised garden beds, which counted s my present. I made him the following, which is a coronet case:
