so, I can mostly take physical exhaustion and I can deal with emotional exhaustion but piling both of them on top of being sick and having the person who'd mostly likely be helping you deal with all the crap be part of the problem sucks beyond the imagining. So far the whole '2011 is going to be a much better year for me' plan is in freefalling

As for WC, I'm also totally with you on the way the show itself ships El/Peter/Neal; I think that's why the fandom is so strongly that and not ditching El all the time. But I do think that it isn't just Peter keeping him there; I think this week made this very strong parallel between Neal and Byron, which makes June's interest in and protection of Neal all the more understandable, that like Peter, she can see in Neal that he isn't a lifer like Ford, or Mozzie.
Also nothing is better on this show than the way that Peter gets all excited when Neal shows off his skills to someone else. It's really

I think think that the longer Neal stays on the right side of the law, the more he has to stay for but I do think that first season, Kate was enough of a pull that like he says in the finale, Peter would be the only reason he stayed. It seems like even his relationship with Mozzie is stronger because of Peter and the grounding he provides.
As far as h50, the phone convo is gonna go down in fandom history.
