Challenge: Bad News

Okay I'm resigning from the second week of the challenge. Too much going on between job hunting, current jobs, schoolwork, my mother and uncle BOTH had surgery yesterday and people somehow didn't call me that my mother's was delayed so I was biting my nails for nine hours till she was done and they told me. Just too much. I slept in today just to

Fwiw, you're not a flake or a failure, you're still moving forward even through the incredible stress. A lot of people wouldn't assess the situation and regroup their resources like you have, they'd crumble or blame everyone else.

There's no crime in feeling overwhelmed, especially with so many things happening all at once - the award, school and all its assignments and deadlines, sick relatives, job hunting, AND writing a book. Cut yourself some slack, okay?
