I would be in love with Lord Peter by Dorothy Sayers, but he's thoroughly taken with/by Harriet Vane, or at the completely opposite end of the spectrum, Cutter from Elfquest, but he is also thoroughly taken with/by Leetah. The other one that comes to mind is Brat Ferrar by Josephine Tey.

I do these four of five days in advance, so I have #7 all ready to post. And I probably would have said Stu if I'd thought of it. He's a lot like Herr--a guy who could get me through the apocalypse was a dating criteria--and they aren't easy. But they're efficient and it *does* have its advantages.:)
