I feel like I would be a kick-ass worker now that I am a mom! I was before, IMHO, but now I have so much more meaning behind everything I do. I want to be better at everything because of Alana. I would be one hell of an employee, but Key Bank will never know that.
I rarely go on The Net any more but I saw your watermark on Jodyplustwinsx2/jody&james2005's pictures and I was like OMG, ALY! Random, I know.
Eek, God forbid I want to know when I'll be working! I realize that in today's world that raises a big red flag--out of my 24-hour days, I'd like to know which hours I have to spend where--and I don't want to work 60-hour weeks. This, of course, makes me a horrible person with a lazy work ethic! /end sarcasm.
That's insane! I don't have any family obligations, but I'd want to know about the hours right away. Because I like my time off... and the parts of my life that exist outside of work. I'd like to keep those despite a job. I didn't realize that was out of the question. How ridiculous! Being immediately downgraded like that really sucks, but you're probably better off without that job anyway, if asking about work hours is cause for suspicion! ...I'm kind of stunned still.
I know! And it was weird because I totally got the "don't ask about the hours of this position" vibe so when I did it, I felt a sinking feeling like I had screwed up. It was the oddest thing.
My friend that works for the company told me they still haven't filled the position? Weird.
Oh, yeah, and he told me I'd be working approximately 45 hours a week and some 6-day weeks. It didn't add up to me because he told me I'd work M-Th, 8-5, with two additional hours on Tuesday and Thursday, 9-6 on Friday, and the occasional 9-1 on Saturdays ("but you don't have to do anything on Saturdays, you just sit there and keep the branch open"). To me, I'm getting between 44 and 48 hours. That sounds awful. And did I mention that it's salaried? Cause it is. A nice salary, indeed, but their career booklet thingie also claims they have a "good work-life balance." LIES! All LIES!
